The schooling landscape is evolving, and False Bay TVET College is within the forefront, recognizing that the traditional school product is not the only helpful means of studying. Their NCV programmes are intended for college students who want to start their journey towards a fulfilling career early on.

CareersPortal.co.za had a chat with the Head of Section for Engineering Studies at False Bay College, regarding their courses.

False Bay's Engineering NCV programmes are presented at two campuses: Westlake Campus and Khayelitsha Campus. These Engineering programmes are for a 3-yr period.

NCV Engineering Course Entry Prerequisites

These classes start off at NCV level 2 as well as the minimal requirement would then be Grade nine certificate with a pass in Arithmetic.

The moment the student finishes NCVLevel 2, they might then have attained a grade 10 certificate. NCV Level three would be grade 11 and NCV Level four is grade 12.

NCV Level four is at the exit level, currently being equivalent to a Nationwide Senior Certificate (NSC).

Grade 9 is on tvet college engineering NQF level one. Our NCV programmes start NCV level two that is equivalent to an NQF level two.

On which type of scholars are suited for these programmes, they here say that the world is acknowledging that regular schooling is not really always the only real means of turning into an artisan or starting to be competent therefore if a student knows from an early age what their interests are, the NCV programme is in fact properly suited for that student.

False Bay TVET College will assist the student to become qualified in his field of interest. Students who want to become entrepreneurs will also have access to their Centre of Entrepreneurship on the Westlake Campus.
